Introduction:
I wrote this investigation report on March, 2014. I wrote this for describing my own ideas about who is murderer in a story about a murder. The story is interesting and attractive, there are many details which is important to find who the murder is.
Reflection:
The most difficult part is to find all the evidence and put them together, and I think I did well on proving it for my own ideas. I have learned about how to find something strange but looks common, and if I can do it again, I will spend more time on writing my report well.

Investigation Report
TO: Wan Yuan Chief of Police
FROM: Detective Johnson
Subject: Author Smith Murder
I arrived on the scene on 1:20 a.m., the scene looked like what she said, her husband fell down on the stairs, and he still had the glass in his hand.
Earlier that night she went to the country club where there was a party going on. She left the club shortly before one in the morning and invited a few friends to follow her home for one more drink, but they got to the Smiths’ house about ten minutes after Queenie, who had discovered her dead husband at the bottom of the stairs. Everything looks normal in the scene, but here are some doubtful points I found.
Queenie said her husband slipped and fell on the stairs, so if a person really slipped on the stairs, his face will be fell before his body fell because people’s feet is steadier than head. However, Arthur was lying face up, that’s very strange, he seems like others put his body on the stairs, maybe wanted to tell people Arthur’s dead because he had fallen down the stairs.
Then there is another suspicious place, the glass in Arthur’s hand was unbroken, when he was falling on the stairs, the glass in his hand must be destroyed and he could not catch it safely.
If Arthur really fell on the stairs, why the carpet is undisturbed. When people fall on the ground from the stairs, the carpet under his feet should be disturbed because people cannot control his body on the stairs. What’s more, we can suppose if I was Arthur, when I was falling on the stairs what I would do. The answer is I would try to catch everything on the wall for stopping falling, but the candles and mirror on the wall were undisturbed.
According to the autopsy’s conclusion, Arthur had died from a wound on the head and he’d been drunk, but Queenie said Arthur was coming down for another drunk, if a person is drunk, it’s difficult for a person walking down the stairs and asking for another drink.
Therefore, it is my conclusion that Queenie was lying, there are five pieces of evidence can prove she was lying to us, but we didn’t know why she lied to the police and what she was doing in the ten minutes when she came back to the home first.
